E. W. “Ned” Torian

Ned Torian began his career in commercial and investment real estate in 1969. Since that time, he has brokered or co-brokered transactions having a value in excess of $500,000,000.00. Among principals and companies he has dealt with are M. D. Anderson Hospital, H-E-B, Aliana, MHI, Steve Gibson of Western General, Medistar, Lyme Properties, Shadow Creek Ranch, The Southwestern Company, Aldine Independent School District, Hudson Engineering, Midway Companies, KB Home, Dickson Partners, LLC, Jenard M. Gross Interests, Conrad S. Weil, Trustee, JPMorgan Chase, Transwestern Property Company, The Home Depot, Venture Stores, Inc., Service Merchandise, The Sam Houston Race Park, Guardian Savings Bank, Todd Sherman Development, Keystone International, Inc., Fred Risk Construction Company, Tyco International, Rawson-Koenig, Inc., Bill Walker Clothier, Inc., Elro of Texas, Aurous Properties, Inc., Village Developers, Service Corporation International and Century Development Company. In addition he has represented private investors from the United States, Mexico, Canada, Columbia, Hong Kong, England, Australia, Pakistan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and Taiwan.

Several noteworthy transactions that Ned has been involved in were the sale of 1,327 acres on US 290 west of Fry Road; the marketing of Aliana, a 2,300 Acre master planned community on the Grand Parkway adjacent to the Houstonian and Shadow Hawk Golf Club; the lease property in Aliana for the Houston Polo club; the sale of the 6,000 acre Gillson Longenbaugh Foundation property on the south side of US 290 at the proposed Grand Parkway; the acquisition of land for the Sam Houston Race Track; sale of 200 acres to the Aldine Independent School District; sale of 60 acres at the corner of Westheimer and Highway 6 for a 32 acre shopping center; The Remington Ranch master planned community in North Houston, The St. Anthony Hospital Building and the Lyme Properties acquisition of The Hospice Property in The Texas Medical Center.

Ned’s primary focus has been on land sales. He believes that the land business requires real estate knowledge, imagination and relationships forged by doing what you say you will do.

Ned graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Business Administration. An active participant in community and charitable activities, he is a member of the Board of Directors and vice president of the Gillson Longenbaugh Foundation, a member of the Board of the Texas Children’s Cancer Center, a member of the board of Curing Children’s Cancer Fund, past president of the Board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House and a member of the Development Board of Our Lady of Guadalupe School.

Allen H. Crosswell

Allen Crosswell, co-founder of Crosswell Greenwood Commercial Development as well as founder of its predecessor Crosswell Development, is a leader in the Houston real estate brokerage and investment community. Allen has a track record of identifying and executing successful raw land investment and development opportunities. Allen’s ability to pinpoint the key issues in a deal and to work through those issues in a way that is agreeable and even beneficial to all parties involved is a recurring theme in transactions completed by Mr. Crosswell. As native Houstonian, Allen believes in the value of long-term relationships and that fair business dealings lead to repeat business. By employing this philosophy, Allen has gained the confidence of landowners, investors, brokers and retailers within the real estate community and has produced consistent year in and year out results for his clients and investors in both the land brokerage and development arenas. Mr. Crosswell is also co-founder of Crosswell Torian Commercial Properties, LLC., which specializes in commercial land brokerage.

From July 1989 through December 1992, Mr. Crosswell worked as a consultant with Lewis Realty Advisors, Inc. Mr. Crosswell received his Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Mississippi.

E.J. Cummins, Jr.

Ed Cummins began his real estate career in Houston, Texas in 1963. As of January 1, 2010 he has joined Crosswell Torian to emphasize equity financing and investment real estate. From 1966 - 1979 he was a principal in the real estate brokerage firm of Shindler / Cummins, Inc. and from 1979 - 1992 owner of Barkley Properties Inc. which specialized in investment properties and sites for office, retail, apartment and subdivision developments. He joined McDade, Smith, Gould, Johnston, Mason + Co. in April of 2000 through 2009. Notable transactions at MSGJM include a major refinancing of a large Houston area golf course community, the assemblage of 8 acres on the west side of Houston inside I-610, the sale of 1,006 acres in the city of Baytown, the sale of 7,500 acres in Montgomery County, co-brokerage of the sale of 680 in Chambers County TX the sale of an industrial site near the Intercontinental airport, numerous multifamily sites and the assembly of large suburban acreage. 

 

Further, Ed has been involved with a number of high profile real estate developments.  He consulted for Sunrise Colony Co., developer of the Royal Oaks Country Club on the former Andrau Airport in west Houston and earlier for West Houston, Ltd. on acquisition and pre-development for a 2,200 acre assemblage west of Cinco Ranch. He managed the redevelopment of a 327 unit garden apartment and 56,000 square foot office building inside Loop 610.  Other consulting projects were in Shanghai, China, St. Petersburg, Russia, the former East Germany and Cairo, Egypt.  Experience with major U.S. companies includes GE Capital, American General Investment Corp., Apollo Advisors, Colony Capital, PaineWebber Realty, various Texas developers and investors and many European, Mexican, Middle Eastern and Asian investors. 

 

Ed graduated from Yale University in 1959 with a B.A. in History; other interests include sports, reading, travel and grandchildren. Civic experience includes board service for Duchesne Academy and University of St. Thomas and a director of Republic Bank of Houston, now a part of Bank of America.

L. Kenady Davis

Kenady Davis joined Crosswell Torian Commercial Properties in 2006. Mr. Davis works with Allen Crosswell specializing in both raw land transactions and development opportunities. Kenady is a licensed Real Estate Salesman in the State of Texas.

Mr. Davis graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004. Kenady is actively involved in the Carousel Group for the Texas Children’s Cancer Center. He is a native of Houston, Texas.
